February Half-Term Programme Plan
Dates - 18 & 19 February 2026
Our half-term in February includes off-site trips to various locations across London, with a mixture of sporting and creative activities in keeping young people engaged and active during the school holidays.
We accommodated on a first come basis to registered participants, activities consisting of physical and creative workshops, and a end of project awards ceremony on the final day to conclude the programme.
18 February - Off-site trip to Cody Dock for Urban Nature Zine & Marbling Workshop
Take part in Urban Nature Workshop at Cody Dock. We will start by using marbling inks to create fun designs on watercolour paper, after which will head out on a walk along the river with binoculars to see what nature we can spot, and finally heading back and make mini magazines titled 'urban nature' using our artwork and collaging.
19 February - Off-site trip to Tower of London for Beano: Mischief at the Tower of London
Get ready for a fun filled, red and black, time travel adventure this February half term.
Dennis and his Beano pals crash land at the Tower of London and need your help locating missing pieces of their time machine so they can get back home. Perfect for youth groups to enjoy the half term fun.

We aligned our summer programme with Skills Builder Partnership which is a global movement of employers, educators, and impact organisations working together to ensure that one day, everyone builds the essential skills to succeed.
Essential skills unlock learning in the classroom, boosting academic outcomes, perseverance, and self-belief. They halve the likelihood of being out of work and increase earnings across a lifetime. They even boost wellbeing and life satisfaction.
These skills underpin an individual’s success at each stage in life and support all young people in developing their independence. We will focus on four essential skills day during our summer programme:
Speaking - The oral transmission of information or ideas.
Listening - The receiving, retaining and processing of information or ideas.
Teamwork - Working cooperatively with others towards achieving a shared goal.
Creativity - The use of imagination and the generation of new ideas.

What is Arts Award?
Support young people to grow their creativity and gain 21st century skills
Arts Award takes children and young people on a creative journey, exploring the arts world, discovering their potential as artists, developing leadership skills – and gaining a recognised qualification along the way. Open to anyone aged 25 or under, this unique set of arts qualifications builds skills essential for success in the 21st century: Creativity and communication, along with problem-solving, reflective-thinking and confidence.
Young people can achieve Arts Award in any art form, through the five levels – Discover, Explore, Bronze, Silver and Gold – young people:
Enjoy creating and participating in arts activities.
Through Arts Award, young people get actively involved in creative activities and produce their own art work . Those working towards the higher levels collaborate with artists to try a genre or art form new to them too.
Experience arts events and explore the work of artists.
Arts Award connects young people with the arts world – as the audience or visitor, behind the scenes, learning from creative professionals, or researching the work of artists and arts organisations. At higher levels, participants review and share their experiences, gaining critical-thinking and organisational skills
Work Experience Placement
We are committed to providing work-based learning placements for young people interested in gaining experience working in community setting.
We offer work placement opportunity to young people aged 16-18-year-olds with term-long weekly session placements and school holidays placements. If you are interested in a placement, get in touch.
Winter Holiday Programme Plan
Dates - 22, 23 & 24 Dec 2025
A youth programme for 10-16-year-olds at Island Point Community Centre during winter holidays with creative activities and an off-site trip to Sadler’s Well East to see a festive theatre show.
YOU CAN BE AN ARTIST – With Mr Frivolous
Our three-day creative workshops with acclaimed London-based artist, Mr. Frivolous.
The workshops for young people was an opportunity to explore creativity, build confidence, and learn new skills.
Across the three workshops, they:
Learnt how to create bold, expressive self-portraits in Mr Frivolous’ felt-tip style
Explore emotions through art, colour, and word
Try out mark-making, illustration, and simple storytelling techniques
Learnt what it’s like to be a working artist and how to start building a portfolio
Portraits and Self Expression
A fun unique portrait session in which the artist taught the young people on how to use colour techniques using basic everyday materials like felt tip pens and markers and also, how to get your thoughts out and expressing it around the portrait.
Art Therapy
This was similar to the portrait class. Except this time the young people created characters and learning to draw without image references, free styling inspired by the works of Jean-Michel Basquiat.
Graffiti Writing
Everyone created a handmade guerrilla art style artwork. It will be a mix of creating graffiti style writing, in Mr Frivolous style. The artist showed his own examples to show and talk about different types of street art whilst making their own.
Peter Pan (Pantomime Adventure) at Greenwich Theatre

Winter Holiday Programme
Dates - 23, 24 & 27 Dec 2024
A week-long programme from the 23rd to 27th December 2024 (excluding Christmas Day & Boxing Day) for young people aged 5-16 from Tower Hamlets, providing enrichment activities during the school holidays with FREE refreshment for eligible participants. Workshop consisted a nature workshop to create bug hotels. Bug hotels are to help to encourage pollination and biodiversity as they attract an array of insects such as bees and butterflies. By creating your own bug hotel, you are helping to improve your local ecosystem. They are a fantastic way for young people to connect with nature. We will be making our own DIY bug hotels from items that you can find at home and in your local outdoor areas.
Summer Holiday ’25 Programme Plan in Aberfeldy, Poplar
28 July - 21 August 2025
As part of youth provision in Tower Hamlets, we hosted a 4-week programme in Poplar from the 28th July to 21st August 2024 for young people aged 7-14 from Tower Hamlets, providing enrichment and physical activities sessions during the summer school holidays. FREE lunchtime meals for eligible participants with council issued HAF code or proof of benefit to receive school meals.
We are able accommodate a maximum of 30 young people per day, with the activities consisting of multi-sport and creative workshops for young people, with an end of project awards ceremony on the final day to conclude the summer programme.
Activities across the first week included a creative workshop as a team bonding activity to create your own version of a Henri Matisse work, a trip to Frameless exhibition in Marble Arch, a drama workshop to build confidence and learn about acting and lastly an off-site trip to Cody Dock for a River Lea inspired printing workshop, learning how to screen print, by taking inspiration from the River Lea and the urban wildlife found at Cody Dock to personalise tote bags.
In Week Two activities consisted a workshop at Tower of London learning about nature in and around the historic site, a trip to see the theatre performance of Hamilton at Victoria Theatre, a drama workshop as a follow-up activity as a team bonding exercise from Week One and lastly another theatre trip to conclude the week with a visit to Greenwich Theatre to see the new production of The 3 Musketeers.
In Week 3 we were joined by Middlesex Cricket Club, hosting a variety of fun activities in keeping young people engaged using the sport of cricket.
In our final week we took an off-site trip to All Points East Festival in Victoria Park, followed by youth excursion to Go Ape in Battersea, took part in Sports Day in collaboration with a local youth group and and to mark the final day we went to a fun day at Aberfeldy, followed by an awards ceremony for young people and staff members for their contribution in this year’s summer programme.
